Quire and Docebo and TalentLMS

Docebo and TalentLMS are hosted corporate learning platforms for employee, partner and customer training; Docebo is aimed at large enterprises and TalentLMS at small and mid-size teams.

Last checked 1 October 2026. Quire is pre-release.

Who should pick which

Pick Docebo and TalentLMS if

  1. You want a long-established vendor with a large integrations catalog. Docebo lists 400+ integrations, and TalentLMS lists about 40 plus Zapier.
  2. You want a vendor-run service with a mature support organization, and you do not want to host or operate anything.
  3. You are a small team and want published prices. TalentLMS lists plans from $119 a month and has a free plan for up to 5 users.
  4. You want a skills and AI-authoring suite from a vendor that has shipped it for some time (Docebo Creator and Roleplay, TalentLMS TalentCraft).

Pick Quire if

  1. You want to self-host on your own infrastructure. Quire runs hosted or self-hosted from the same product. Docebo and TalentLMS are hosted services on the pages we checked.
  2. You want many isolated tenants enforced in the database (row-level security) and a flat price by organization size, not by active user.
  3. You want a tamper-evident audit log (hash-chained, with a verification tool) and an OpenAPI 3.1 API with signed webhooks and an MCP server.
  4. You accept that Quire is pre-release and that several vendor integrations are not yet verified against live accounts.

How multi-tenancy worksDocebo: Extended Enterprise lets you set up several experiences from one platform, each with its own domain, branding, login page and catalog. Docebo's page does not say how data is separated, and catalogs are shown by group or branch, not tied to a domain. TalentLMS: a branch is a sub-portal with its own URL, branding, catalog and admins, and its own users and reports. The number of branches depends on the plan.Source: TalentLMS: Branches (Docebo: Multiple domains page)A tenant is an organization with its own domain, login page, theme, sign-in providers, email sender and data region. Isolation is enforced by row-level security in PostgreSQL. Tenants can nest, and courses can be shared between tenants. Tenant counts depend on the plan.
Published pricingTalentLMS publishes prices: Core from $119 a month (1 branch), Grow from $229 (3 branches), Pro from $449 (15 branches), Enterprise by quote with unlimited branches, and a free plan for up to 5 users. Docebo publishes no prices; pricing is a custom quote by tier (Elevate or Enterprise) and user model.Source: TalentLMS: Prices (Docebo: Pricing page lists no prices)Flat plans by organization size, listed on the pricing page: Starter $99 a month (250 users, 1 tenant), Team $299, Business $899, Scale $2,499 (25,000 users, 50 tenants), and Enterprise by quote. Self-hosted licences cost ten times the monthly price per year. Video minutes and AI use are metered add-ons.
HostingTalentLMS: hosted only on Amazon Web Services; the page names no regions and offers no self-hosted option. Docebo: described on its product page as a SaaS solution. We found no self-hosted edition for either.Source: TalentLMS: Security (Docebo: Learn LMS product page)Hosted in our cloud, or self-hosted from one Docker Compose file. A tenant export can move a tenant either way. Live production hosting has not yet been verified at scale; see the open items in the repository.
API and webhooksTalentLMS: REST API with an API key and a downloadable OpenAPI spec; rate limits are set by plan (2,000 to 10,000 requests an hour). The page does not mention webhooks. Docebo: REST API with bearer tokens, an in-platform API browser, and webhooks (superadmin only, a maximum of ten enabled, up to eight events each).Source: Docebo developer docs: webhooks (TalentLMS: public API page)REST API with an OpenAPI 3.1 description, cursor pagination and idempotency keys. Webhooks follow the Standard Webhooks specification, are retried and can be replayed. An MCP server lets AI agents act within an account's permissions. Some write routes are still not offered.
E-learning standardsTalentLMS: SCORM 1.2, xAPI and cmi5; its feature page does not list SCORM 2004, AICC or LTI, although the pricing page lists LTI 1.3 support. Docebo: SCORM 1.2 and 2004, xAPI and AICC.Source: Docebo: Learn LMS (TalentLMS: SCORM page)SCORM 1.2 and 2004 with sequencing (the ADL 4th Edition suite passes 188 of 188), AICC, xAPI, cmi5, LTI 1.3 Advantage in both roles, QTI and OneRoster. Exchange of QTI is a subset, and some items are refused or lossy.
AI featuresTalentLMS: TalentCraft course creation, AI test creation, translation, AI Coach and Learning Playground, with monthly AI credits that rise by plan. Docebo: Creator, Smart Search, AI Assistant and Roleplay. Neither page says whether customer content is used for training.Source: TalentLMS: Prices (Docebo: Learn LMS product page)Editor assistance, a course assistant with citations, a tutor per course, and grading suggestions a teacher confirms. Providers are chosen per tenant, with per-tenant budgets, and content is not used for training. Live checks against provider accounts are not yet done.
Audit logDocebo: an audit trail records who did what, including who impersonated whom, with fields such as actor, target, action and payload. We could not confirm from public pages whether it is tamper-evident. TalentLMS: we could not open its help pages, so check what its event timeline records and keeps.Source: Docebo community: Audit trail reportThree streams: security and administration, learning activity, and page views. Each entry records actor, impersonator, tenant, target, before and after values and outcome. Entries are hash-chained with signed checkpoints, and a verification tool checks the chain.
Maturity, integrations and supportDocebo lists 400+ integrations in its marketplace. TalentLMS lists about 40 named integrations and connects to over 1000 apps through Zapier. Both are established vendors with ISO 27001 (TalentLMS) or ISO 27001 and SOC 2 (Docebo) statements on their pages.Source: Docebo: Integrations marketplace (TalentLMS: Integrations page)Pre-release and closed source. Quire has a HubSpot app, an n8n node and an MCP server, but the HubSpot listing, the n8n and Zapier publication and several live vendor accounts are still open items. There are no independent audit certifications to cite yet.

Moving from Docebo and TalentLMS

Neither vendor was checked for a full export of courses and learner records, so ask them what you can export. Quire has no importer built for Docebo or TalentLMS data. What Quire does import: SCORM, xAPI and cmi5 packages (so content you hold as packages can move), users by CSV, SCIM, OneRoster or API, and QTI question banks. The only vendor backup importer in the repository is for Moodle. Learner history held only inside their platform would need to come through their API or reports and be loaded through Quire's API.
